Labor Day Weekend 2016
Dare I say, the final days of summer are at our door. Hurricane Hermine is working up the coast and people are firming up their weekend plans with keen eyes on the storm radar. It's hard to believe we are here. Nonetheless, enjoy what is left of our beloved summer. Bon Weekend & Happy Labor Day!
Green Is Good
I'm coming off of an incredible weekend amongst the Vermont summer mountain air. I haven't felt so relaxed in quite some time. Here is a capture from a swimming post on Chittenden Reservoir. Green is good. xx
Garden Bounty
Thanks to a gracious neighbor, I didn't have to forage long to assemble a bounty of spinach, swiss chard and radish. Her garden was yet another reminder that summer is practically here.

Lady Luck
I'm loving the July issue of the Hamptons Cottages & Gardens publication. The cover features the work of artist Billy Sullivan, titled "jane max & emerson" (oil on linen). The painting turned cover is a perfect nod to summer and had me thumbing through the magazine thoroughly. See more of the artist's work here. I'll Have What She's Having...
Paris Vogue's June/July editorial features Natasha Poly and her "perfect summer" which is just about the equivalent to my perfect dream. Sea breezes in the Maldives, fresh seafood platters, the scent of pine trees and paralyzing coastal views in the Mediterranean...Natasha knows a thing or two about summer. Not only did she steal the spotlight in the editorial, but she also stole the cover, clad in a red bikini, just months after having a baby, mind you. See the full feature here.
Summer in Bloom
It sure does feel like summer has officially commenced on the east coast. The harbor filled up considerably this weekend, neighborhood children are playing in their yards until sundown, and the Sky Bar in Newport was in full force Saturday evening.
I'm loving these blue delphiniums in my Mother's kitchen bouquet. Nothing makes me happier than fresh flowers and I just love a fresh summer bloom!
