It's So True...
Preston Davis' post yesterday hit a chord - why is it that French women make it look so easy? Not to mention the French editors...They trot around in their lean figures sporting perfectly tailored trousers, over-sized oxfords sans makeup with undone natural hair, yet appear so alluring and cool. The above montage is a little inspiration as I clean out the cobwebs in my closet for Fall and Winter. Mostly, it's just getting me excited for the colder weather during the holiday season. First on the shopping list: these black suede booties (top right) or anything Aquazzura.
Wes Anderson & A Halloween Horror
Ed Norton hosted SNL this past weekend and did a great job for his first time hosting. For anyone that has seen Wes Anderson's films (The Royal Tennanbaums, Moonrise Kingdom), you'll appreciate this skit. The parody simply asks what a Wes Anderson film would look like in the form of a Halloween Horror. Alec Baldwin narrates as Ed Norton plays Owen Wilson....brilliant.
Mademoiselle C
So bummed that this documentary only stayed for a total of one week at the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco, as my girl friends and I just missed it. The film features former French Vogue editor-in-chief and fashion stylist Carine Roitfeld as she moves to New York to launch her own magazine, CR Fashion Book. Between the light bulbs flashing and air kiss after air kiss with all the power players in the fashion world, the film looks très, très agréable. View the trailer here.
Weekend Me
Hooray! The weekend is here. Truly enjoying the crisp weather we've had in San Francisco as of late, makes me nostalgic thinking about the Fall seasons I've enjoyed back home. Last evening I enjoyed a lovely meal at Spruce with a dear friend, it was the perfect weekend send off, pumpkin soup and all! Hope your weekend is full of pleasure, spontaneity and relaxation.
Bon Weekend!
